The challenge was to create a system capable of dealing with millions of products, to be flexible enough that it allowed products to be grouped and packaged in multiple configurations for multiple clients... Oh, and did we forget; fast to search and report on. Super tight caching and a well designed ORM allowed us to provide a system that can do all of this and more. Compared to it's predecessor, the Vendman parts system is capable of moving at the speed of light and is able to leap tall buildings in a single bound and all before breakfast.
