Using bluetooth low energy iBeacons in conjunction with site activity layouts we were able to create the iPatrol BLE app. Helping to save time and increase the accuracy of safety checks on site by tracking individual staff movements and logging time, proximity and ,at the click of a button, the status of each start and finish point on the courses. After running a security sweep and performance review on the existing website, it became clear that there were a few areas for improvement. After running load tests and checking over back end API integrations it was possible for us to significantly reduce page load times, increase the number of concurrent active users on the site. Increasing the number of web transactions and reducing the drop out rate helped sustain the most productive year to date for the company.
