FAQ’S

Your vehicle data is pulled direct from the DVLA via their handy web based tools and systems. Unfortunately their system is still under Beta and therefore is not bullet proof as this data is not always complete and mistakes do happen (more info on Beta here). If you are aware of a mistake with your vehicle data or have any queries with the data provided by this app please do not hesitate to contact them here.

Fortunately not. This could lead to all manner of issues when you come to updating and managing dates and other vehicle data. We like to keep things simple around here so we don’t allow duplication. If you add the same vehicle again, we will simply update the details from the DVLA database and overwrite the ones you have edited. See “Can I edit the data?” for more info.

When your vehicle dates reach expiry we will automagically look up the data again for you to check for changes to MOT, SORN, Road Tax dates and status once every 24 hours when you access the app.

The “UPDATING…” logo appears when we are attempting to check for new information on expired dates.

Yes. From the vehicle details view you can swipe right to left across any of the fields and update them accordingly. NOTE: this data will automatically be overwritten by the DVLA system data when your vehicle dates have expired and we search for a new date. This is done to keep our systems in sync with the actual data held by DVLA.

We feel that the 79p charge is justified by the excellent functionality, fantastically intuitive design,Β  offline data storage capability and days of hard work that have gone into making this into an affordable, awesome app that sits at the top of it’s game. Buying us a beer would cost at least three times as muchΒ  πŸ™‚

The message means exactly as it says. When we contacted the DVLA about certain vehicles not being returned in the search we were told “This is because the VOSA data or DVLA data is corrupt or has not passed into the system correctly. This does NOT mean the MOT/Tax data is not recorded but that the system we publish to the general public does not have an updated version of the record”. Plainly put; the DVLA computer says no.
